The front window was leaking like a sieve and we had a new window put in the front. The window guy recommended a tinted window, and I think it looks great!
We went to the Rookie Roundup at the Starlight Classic Campground followed by a trip to Pagosa Springs.
We made it over Wolf Creek Pass and back again without a hitch, so I think we can call the Great Dale a mechanical success!
Here are some pictures from the Cool Pines RV park in Pagosa Springs, CO.
We started the restoration with the car interior with the following changes:
- New driver’s side door window and interior.
- New drivers side door handles
- Both window mechanisms rebuilt so they don’t rest on interior panel.
- Driver and passenger side panels rebuilt
- Custom Speaker boxes
- Re-skinned my console
- New carpet
- Rebuilt seats
- New 3-Point seat belts
Here are some more pics of the new interior.
Here are some in-progress pictures:
We kind of wanted to keep the original console that Lina and I made, but decided it would be better if it matched the new interior. The interior guys said they couldn’t make anything better, so we ripped all of the instruments our and they re-skinned it with the new interior theme.
Here it is before installation.
